Our Princess

Olivia is now 15 months old.  CRAZY!  If time keeps going this fast, pretty soon she'll be 15 YEARS old!  She's still cute, but now she is toddler cute and not so much baby cute.  I'm sad and wish I would have enjoyed her baby times more, but I also love having a little partner to do things with.  She is saying so many words - she likes to mimick us.  Her newest words are shoes, da-daw (grandpa), Dee (drink, treat), teeeeez (cheese, please), day-doo (thank you), dee-dus (Jesus).

She was having a hard time sleeping in her crib, so we started putting her on the couch at night and she slept a lot better.  So, we turned her crib into a toddler bed and she is doing great!  It's so nice to get to sleep allll night :)  She gives lots of loves and kisses still.  This is still my favorite talent she has.  She loves to swim!  We took her to the Sand Hollow Reservoir in St. George and I was thinking she might be scared of the water, but she absolutely loved it.  She had no fear!  Which, I guess is pretty scary, but I love that she loves water.  I try to take her to the WJ outdoor pool once a week so that she can get used to swimming.  My parents bought a swim spa/hot tub, so she swims a lot there too.

She is starting to like TV shows and movies.  She loves animals so she will pay attention best to movies like Ice Age and Madagascar.  She makes the cutest animal noises.  For a bird, she moves her fingers like a beak and says 'tee-tee', for a duck she says gaw-gaw, for a dog she says woof-woof, and for a horse or kitty she pats her leg.  Haha, that last one is because every time we see one of those we try to get it to come to us, so she picked up on that.  She's getting to be more and more of a daddy's girl - which I love to see.  She always holds her hands up like she's confused and says 'dada?' when Dave isn't around.  She is getting brave and will try to run really fast when she's excited.  She falls a lot, but it's so cute to see her try!  She loves Boston more and more and now she tries to pick him up and give him hugs.  Boston is so good with her.  He never snaps at her.

Her favorite foods right now are corn dogs (mama's girl!), spaghetti, applesauce, cereal, and bread.  She loves bath time and she isn't a fan of getting her diaper changed.  I understand that one though.  It's no fun to have to lay down and be patient when you're one!  I'm realizing that I haven't been the best frugle mom, because I saw when all of the fall/winter clothes were on sale, but I didn't think to buy any for the next year.  Now she is not going to have any clothes and I'm going to have to pay full price for everything.  So much to learn as a mom!

Doctor Measurments
30 inches tall
20 lbs. 13 oz.

She only gained 7 ounces since her last appointment which was three months ago.  The doctor said that happens a lot in the summer because kids are running everywhere.
