The Rueckert Family: A Very Merry Half Birthday

My little diva is SIX MONTHS OLD now! That's half way to a year...what?? Where did the time go? Olivia is just getting so big and cute and fun :) She is eating cereal and lots of other foods now. She likes pears, bananas, apples, green beans and squash. She also loves to eat cheerios and graham crackers. She is still getting the hang of eating solid foods, so sometimes she will catch them in her throat and choke a little bit, which terrifies Dave and I, but she always gets it down. She loves to play, of course. She sits up really well and loves sitting on a blanket with toys. Her favorite toys are pieces of paper or wrappers, anything that makes a crinkle sound! She laughs all the time, especially at her dad. She thinks he's WAY more fun than mom :) She sleeps through most nights in her crib, which is super nice. She had a little cold recently, but that's as sick as she's been so far. She just started reaching for Dave and I - we love it! We can finally be sure that she knows who we are.

We spent her 6 month birthday in St. George. Dave and Matt and Kortni and Matt Durand played in a volleyball tournament and Alisha, Me, and Olivia watched. Olivia struggled with the long drive in her car seat, which guilted me into taking her out of the seat more than I should have... But she loved being outside watching them play. We took her swimming at our hotel - she was super cute. I think she is going to love water!

She still hasn't rolled from her back to her front, but she is always sitting up now, so I really don't think she has any interest! Oh well, she will eventually have to do it, right?
