omelettes and NEWS

First off, I would just like to share the fabulousness that I had for lunch today.  We went to Ihop for a work lunch and I am so glad they have their Smart n Fit menu - I got this super delicious tasting Spinach, Mushroom and Tomato Omelette and it was yum :)  I def recommend this meal for anyone that wants a low cal (and low sodium) yummy meal  Try not to drool over the following picture...

Now!! I would like to share the best news.  D took me to buy new work pants last night because my current ones have been saggin a little (hallelujiah!).  We went to Maurice's and the sales girl was so cute and brought me a bunch of pants to try on.  She brought me a bunch in size 5/6 and I thought I'd try them on just to humor her.  HOWEVER, they fit perfectly :)  I had to post about it because I don't remember being under a size 8 like...ever.

It's a smiley kind of day :)

Lobster

So my husband is an AVID volleyball player.  I taught him how to play in high school, and ever since then, it's all he wants to do.  He played for SLCC for a little bit and now he plays as many Utah Outdoor Volleyball tournaments as he can.  I played in high school but I'm not as addicted as he is, maybe because he's really good at it and I'm really not...but who knows.

Anway, this weekend, Dave convinced me to play in the tournament too, so I did. Me and my little sister Kacee played and it was pretty fun!  We did okay for not having played forever.  The only problem is...we all are red like lobsters and SO SORE now!  It was definitely a great workout but man... I'm not sure it was totally worth this pain.  Haha.  Oh well!  Chalk it up as a weekend well spent :)

Oh and I took my camera but it was a total fail.  I didn't take one picture... boo.  But go ahead and picture me looking like this...

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July Weekend to everyone!  I think this may be my favorite holiday!  I love parades and camping and rodeos and barbecues and swimming... it's the perfect time of year :)  Stay tuned for pictures from our weekend of 4th of July festivities!

This day was sooo much fun!!  The whole weekend was a blast.  Friday night, we went to a Movie in the Park in Riverton with Dave's brother Brian and his fiance Alisa.  We watched How to Train Your Dragon and had pizza and popcorn :)  Then, Saturday night, we went to the West Jordan Rodeo with my sisters and some friends.  I love the mutton bustin'!  Those little kids are so funny!  Sunday we tried to go to Utah Lake, but it was nasty there, so we had a picnic with KFC instead and then my mom and sisters did our own glitter toes for the 4th while we watched Secretariat.  Another fun night.  AND FINALLY - on Monday, we went to Oakley for the parade and had a barbecue lunch with my grandparents.  We came home and had a barbecue dinner with Dave's family and played some sweet volleyball!  And finished the night off with fireworks.  They were going off everywhere!  What a holiday :)
