Marriage.

I have come to REALLY appreciate marriage recently.  I always have, but it's been in my mind lately. And the man that I have married.  It's sad the things that can happen in marriage...how people can change so much from the first year to the last.  I'm grateful for my parents' marriage.  They are a great example to me and my husband in many things, including their relationship.  I'm a rookie at this whole thing, so I can only hope that things will always be as great as they are now, ten years down the road.  Marriage is hard but it's such a blessing!!  My heart goes out to all those who lost the spark, or who have been hurt because the hard stuff takes over.  I love my perfect husband and everything he does for me...<3  Hope that never changes!! 



Holidaysssss!!

I can't believe it's almost Christmas time!! This will be our first Christmas being married and I'm soooo excited!  We are celebrating the anniversary of our engagement this weekend too, I cannot believe it's been a year already...wow.  We moved into our apartment in October and we're loving it, as much as you can love an apartment.  We got a mini tree with mini decorations all put up and it's pretty cozy!  Boston doesn't like that he has nowhere to play, but that's what the parents' houses are for :)  I freakin love the holidays.  From Halloween on, it's like a constant party.  Thanksgiving was fabulous, we spent it at both of our family's.  We started the day playing football with Dave's family.  Well, I watched with hot chocolate and blankets while he played but it was fun anyways.  Then we had dinner at Dave's parents and dessert at mine.  My house was a bit more packed with people.  We watched movies and got ready to go Black Friday shopping!! I've never done this before but my cousin and I had a pretty good time :) 



Dave got accepted into the SLCC police academy!! I'm so happy for him!  Everyone asks me if I'm nervous, which I am, but I try not to think about it.  He is soooo excited.  I think it's perfect for him.  He starts January 10th...so about that time I will need something to do cuz he'll be gone A LOT.  I'll have to get a hobby!  He's the best, I know he'll do so good.
